Description
Couplings utilising the crank motion of chain rods with differing centre axes transmit power from the end-face disc on one side through the chain rod and intermediate disc to the end-face disc on the opposite side. The eccentricity is determined by the chain rod's length, enabling smooth transmission even when the shafts are misaligned. Furthermore, as power is transmitted via the chain rod's crank motion, parallel movement of the rotating shafts is achievable. Standard NSS models feature 3×2 chain rods, while quasi-standard NSS models increase the permitted torque by adding chain rods.
